Ok, I'm finally posting the answer to the riddle in the previous post....If you have not read the riddle, then don't read any further! Go back and try to figure it out; especially if you like a challenge. :)
Anyway....here it is!
Just to review; you have eight pennies, and you're trying to find the one that is lighter than the rest by using a balance scale (and a little brain power), in only two moves.

Just to review; you have eight pennies, and you're trying to find the one that is lighter than the rest by using a balance scale (and a little brain power), in only two moves.
To solve :
- Take six of the pennies and put three on each side of the scale. If one side is lighter than the other, then keep the three on the lighter side.
- Pick two of the pennies from the lighter side and weigh them. If one is lighter than the other, then there's your answer. If they are the same, then the penny that you did not weigh is the lighter one.
- If you weighed the six pennies and both sides of the scale were equal, then take the other two (remember you had eight) and weigh them to find the lighter penny.
